Information on all the possible aid available to Adult/Non-Traditional can be found here as well as the requirements for each. There is no application fee or fees of any kind when applying for scholarships and grants with LOSFA.

Educational Opportunity Centers (EOC): The Educational Opportunity Centers program provides counseling and information on college admissions to qualified adults who want to enter or continue a program of postsecondary education. The program also provides services to improve the financial and economic literacy of participants. An important objective of the program is to counsel participants on financial aid options, including basic financial planning skills, and to assist in the application process. If you plan to pay for any of your education-related expenses “out of pocket” it may benefit you to open a START Saving account. The state will match up to 14% of your annual deposits every year and you can deduct up to $2,400.00 in annual deposits from your Louisiana tax liability ($4,800 for a married couple filing jointly). *Under certain circumstances, some active duty members of the military may qualify for the Taylor Opportunity Program for Students (TOPS) scholarship if they graduated from high school in 1997 or later. For more information click the following link:
