  • July Scholarships

    ABC Humane Wildlife Control & Prevention, Inc Academic Scholarship

    Due Date: July 1, 2020

    Amount: $1,000

    Eligibility: Open to undergraduate or graduate students who identify as female and will study fields related to STEM at an accredited university for the 2020-2021 academic year.

    Instructions: Write an essay with 1,000 words or less on the topic provided. Follow the instructions on how to submit your essay response.

    Annual General Education Scholarship

    Due Date:  July 1, 2020

    Amount: $1,000

    Eligibility:  Open to all students who are currently enrolled at an accredited college.

    Instructions: Complete the online application and write a 1,000 word essay about what your goals are in education and your plans for after graduation.

    The Cool-Off Now Scholarship Program

    Due Date: July 1, 2020

    Amount: $1,000

    Eligibility: Open to incoming freshman college students and full-time students currently attending a college or university. Must be a current resident of the U.S.

    Instructions: In 750-1,500 words, write a proposal on a new product that could protect people from heat stress and/or damaging UV rays. Proposals should be emailed or sent through traditional mail.

    The Cover Guy 7th Annual Scholarship

    Due Date: July 1, 2020

    Amount: $1,000

    Eligibility: Student must be attending, or enrolling in a university, college or trade school in the U.S. or Canada for the upcoming school year.

    Instructions: Submit an essay on the subject of hot tubs that is between 500 and 1,000 words.

    Harold E. Ennes Scholarship

    Due Date: July 1, 2020

    Amount: $1,500

    Eligibility: Open to students who have a career interest in the technical aspects of broadcasting.

    Solar Scholarship

    Due Date: July 1, 2020

    Amount: $1,000

    Eligibility: Student must be a full-time student (or planning to enroll full-time) at an accredited institution and have a 3.2 GPA.

    Instructions: Submit a 500 – 1,000 word essay on: “What excites you most about the future of solar?” Essays should be emailed to the given address.

    Cheryl D. Conkling Memorial Scholarship

    Due Date:  July 2, 2020

    Amount: $1,500 per semester for eight consecutive semesters  – $12,000 over a 4-year period

    Eligibility:  Applicants must live or attend a school in Windsor, Colorado; Conroe, Texas; Wilkinson County, Mississippi; Baton Rouge, Louisiana or West Feliciana Parish in Louisiana. Student must be enrolling full-time at an accredited university or college. Preference may given to students with hearing or other physical impairments, those not receiving substantial aid, and/or students in Louisiana.

    Instructions: Complete online application which includes showing proof of financial need and a written essay detailing background, interests, and future plans.

    Maple Flooring Manufacturers Association 2020-2021 Academic Scholarship

    Due Date: July 10, 2020

    Amount: $1,000

    The Ankin Law Office Scholarship

    Due Date:  July 15, 2020

    Amount:  $2,500

    Eligibility: Open to full-time students who are attending an accredited community college, college or university, law school or graduate school starting in the Fall of 2020.

    Instructions: Complete online application and write an essay with no more than 1,500 words on: Ride share apps like Uber and Lyft are making efforts in keeping their customers safe. Do you think their efforts are sufficient and how could they improve?

    Business Research Guide Scholarship for Women Entrepreneurs

    Due Date:  July 15, 2020

    Amount: $1,000

    Eligibility:  Open to U.S. citizens who have been accepted to or are enrolled at an accredited college or university as an undergraduate or graduate student in any major. Consideration will be given to women studying entrepreneurship, business management, or a related field.

    Instructions: Write a business plan essay that is between 500 and 1,000 words.

    Amount: $2,000

    Eligibility: Open to any U.S. citizen or permanent resident who will be enrolled full-time, in Fall 2020, at an accredited community college or university and earning credit towards an associate, undergraduate or graduate degree.

    Instructions: Complete the online application and follow the guidelines for a 1,500 word essay on: Describe different jobs you have worked in, the safety risks associated with them, and design a step-by-step guide for the employers with ideas on how to make them safer.

    Appel Law Firm LLP

    Due Date:  August 1, 2020

    Amount: $1,000

    Eligibility:  Open to U.S. students who have had injuries from a car or truck accident or have been affected by someone else’s accident. Must be enrolled or accepted to an accredited college or university. Graduate and Law School students may also apply. Students must have a 3.0 GPA.

    Instructions: Complete the online application. Include a copy of the police report of your accident and a one to three-page personal essay. The essay should describe the car accident you were in, how it affected you, and what has changed since the accident.

    Eligibility: Open to students who will begin postsecondary studies between August 2020-May 2021. The student must have had a minimum 3.2 high school GPA, and demonstrated a unique form of sportsmanship, kindness, or compassion. Special attention will be given to first-generation students and military applicants.

    Due Date: September 11, 2020

    Amount: Full tuition and “qualified educational expenses”

    Eligibility:  Student must be a U.S. citizen who is in the high school graduating Class of 2021, with a 3.7 GPA and plans to enroll full-time at an accredited four-year college or university. Student must demonstrate a commitment to extracurricular activities, be a motivated leader and actively participate in community service.

    Instructions: Write an essay that is between 500 and 1,000 words. The essay needs to promote a practical approach to a healthy lifestyle and demonstrate knowledge of health and wellness.

    Eligibility: Open to African-American students (graduates and those at any education level) who are pursuing or plans to pursue a career in the tech industry.

    Amount: $2,500

    Eligibility:  Open to students who are enrolled in an accredited U.S. technical institute, two- or four-year college or university. Students must be pursuing a program in construction management. Students in secondary votech or apprenticeship programs, studying traditional building trades, may also apply. High school students who will study carpentry, HVAC, electrical or related field in the next academic year may also apply.
