Student Hub
LOSFA’s Student Hub gives you more options for tracking your award eligibility and status, and provides you with easier account maintenance features. You will need to register for a Student Hub account to take advantage of:
- Login recovery options
- “TOPS Tracker” reports to monitor your award eligibility and status
- And more
Registering for Student Hub
STEP 1:
Hover over the Applications tab at the top of the page and choose Student Hub.
STEP 2:
Scroll down to the bottom of the page to directly below the Student Hub informational video.
STEP 3:
Click the Register Here button.
STEP 4:
- Choose to register either with a 10-digit Louisiana Secure ID (LASECID) or your 6-digit LOSFAID.
- Choose LASECID if you are a high school student who has never registered.
- The LASECID identifier should be provided by your high school counselor. It is generally listed on the top right corner of your transcript, above your SSN.
- If you attend an approved private school, use your social security number (SSN).
- Choose LOSFAID if you are college student registering for the first time OR if you are re-registering an inactive account.
- E-mail LOSFA at [email protected] with your full name and date of birth if you do not have your LOSFAID number.
STEP 5:
- Enter the LASECID or LOSFAID number (from Step 4), Student First and Last Name, Date of Birth, and High School Attended
- Do NOT abbreviate the high school name. Make sure to spell out the formal full name and click “Search”..
- Example: Swamp High School (CORRECT) vs. SHS (INCORRECT).
STEP 6:
• Once the system has verified your school, click OK, and a pop-up box saying “Information – Student Found” should show if the information you entered is correct. Click Next.
STEP 7:
- Enter your information to create your account. This includes a login name, password, password verification, and challenge question.
- Do not use your high school-issued email address because you may not have access after graduation.
- If you are a college student using your college-issued email address, confirm you will have continued access.
- Choose the email type (Parent Home, Parent School, Parent Work, Student Home, Student School, Student Work).
STEP 8:
- Click Register to finish and log in using your registered login name and password
- Once you are logged in, you should see your LOSFAID assigned to you under the “Welcome” text.
- Click on the Contact Information tab and update your home address and telephone number.
- Once logged in, click on the TOPS Tracker tab at the top to access your TOPS Tracker (high school transcript information) and ACT scores. This information will populate only after your school has indicated they have a signed consent form on file for you. If the student has taken the ACT, the information will populate 48 hours after registering for a Student Hub account.
Important Note: Passwords expire every 30 days. Logins are deactivated after a year of inactivity, and you may have to re-register to open a new account.
