LCTCS Pilot for 18 to 20-Years-Old

Provides funding to students enrolled in certain non-credit, high-demand workforce training programs. Participating schools: Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC), Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC), Fletcher Technical Community College, Louisiana Delta Community College (LDCC), Nunez Community College, and South Louisiana Community College (SLCC).

Eligibility Requirements:

Be a Louisiana resident.

Be at least 18 years old and under the age of 21.

Be eligible to receive funds through CARES Act/CRRSA Act/ARP Act.

Enroll in one of the industry-based certification programs approved by the LCTCS Board of Supervisors at an LCTCS institution.

NOTE:  FAFSA is not required.

Award:

$1,600 maximum per semester.

Limited to any charges on the student’s fee bill, not just tuition and fees.

Continuing Eligibility:

Satisfactory academic progress – defined as completion of the program within 100% of the time allotted.

LCTCS Pilot for Workforce Partnerships

Provides funding to students enrolled in certain non-credit, high-demand, high-wage jobs workforce training programs.

Only available at Nunez Community College, South Louisiana Community College (SLCC), and Louisiana Delta Community College (LDCC).

Eligibility Requirements:

Be a Louisiana resident.

Be at least 18 years old and under the age of 21.

If not eligible for Workforce Investment Opportunity Act (WIOA), eligible for funding.

Enroll in certain non-credit programs aligned with high-demand, high-wage jobs.

NOTE:  FAFSA is not required. 

Award:

$1,600 maximum per semester.
