Short Message Service (SMS) Terms and Conditions

The Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance (LOSFA) offers a recurring subscription text message service through Signal Vine. This text messaging service gives you the option to subscribe to receive text messages from LOSFA on your mobile device.

To enroll, text LOSFA to 50065 or complete the Signal Vine Text Messaging Sign Up Form  through the LOSFA website. Subscribers will receive no more than 6 messages per month. Message and data rates (“Msg&Data”) from your wireless carrier may apply.

Messages and Information

LOSFA will use SMS messaging to provide you information, including, but not limited to, (i) upcoming LOSFA-related events; (ii) FAFSA/financial aid and scholarship announcements; (iii) college application and admission information; and (iv) postsecondary and workforce access and success information. Subscribing to this service is not required and is used only for matters that LOSFA deems helpful and pertinent to the college and career access and success process.

Confidentiality

All mobile information you share will remain confidential and will only be used by LOSFA representatives for legitimate financial aid and/or educational purposes and to assist you in a more efficient manner regarding your college and career goals. Other offices, departments or affiliates of LOSFA may collect and use information in forms different than described herein.

Message & Data Rates

All costs associated with receiving a text message are the responsibility of the individual receiving the message. Receiving mobile text messages from LOSFA is completely free of charge. However, message and data rates (“Msg&Data”) may apply from your wireless carrier.

Opt-Outs

All users may opt out or unsubscribe from receiving text messages from LOSFA at any time by texting STOP to 50065 or by contacting 225-219-1012. By enrolling in this subscription program, you consent that, following such a request to unsubscribe, you will receive one (1) final message from LOSFA confirming that you have been inactivated in our system. Following such confirmation message, no additional text messages will be sent unless you reactivate your subscription.
